Why would Brexit have anything to do with it?

This is a measure brought in by France, not the EU. It is not an EU-wide measure any more than the London congestion zone is. Whether motorists originate from within or outside the EU has no bearing on the matter so whether the UK is in or out of the EU will make no difference.

Nonetheless thanks for mentioning it.

The header is rather misleading ... the requirement to display a "Crit'Air" sticker only applies to travel in or through the cities of Paris, Lyon and Grenoble - not on the motorways around the cities (although the Grenoble through-route looks as though it may be included).

It is also not widely publicised that vehicles displaying a disabled (blue badge) are exempt.
