Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer - P2282 code air leak between throttle body - M J Taylor

It all started when I would excelarate and I would lose power and the Service vehicle soon light would come on with a spanner in the middle.I used a diagnostic meter and it came up with code P2282.Did a lot of googling and found out that I had a large split in my turbo intercooler hose so I ordered another hose and installed it on Saturday. Took car for a spin and my exceleration is back but the service vehicle soon light is back on and the P2282 code Airon leak between throttle body and air intake valves....can someone help!!!!!

This fault is usually an indication of an Egr valve problem.

I would guess that the information received by the ECM from the Mass Air Flow sensor and the MAP sensor are not consistent with each other, therefore generating this code. A stuck open EGR valve allowing exhaust gas back and reducing air flow, or a faulty MAF sensor could be the fault if you're sure that there are no intake air leaks from the turbo intercooler or anywhere else.

Thanks for that railroad I'll have a look over the weekend at the egr valve and check the maf sensor...just one more thing I had been driving the car with this split intercooler hose for quite a while and when I replaced it it was covered in oil ..I wonder if that has created a problem in the system maybe like u said a stuck open egr valve ??

Depnding on your skill set go onto youtube and seach for your vehicle problem and how to to fix it you could do a vacuum test and or smoke test to find where the prblem is !
