Focus, Transit connect, Mondeo etc - Ford TDci PcM reset 31 Mar 2010 (Forum)
Is there a correct way to reset the PcM on the Ford TDci? I've heard various ideas (after disconnecting the battery for a time to "clear the memory") including "warm the engine on tickover then drive for 10 miles", "drive slowly" "drive fast" "drive normally" etc etc. -
Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 05 1.6 How do I tell if 1.6 TDCi has DPF or not? 14 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Hi folks first time poster but this forum has been amazing for answers to some questions recently. I'm looking at a car listed as "2006 FORD FOCUS 1.6 TDCi Ghia 5dr [110] [Euro 4] Diesel Estate" and wondering if it's possible to tell from this if it will have a DPF fitted? Heard too many horror stories and as it's mileage suggests it may need a new filter in the next year or so, I don't want to have to fork out x£100s to get that sorted too. -

Ford Fiesta (2000 - 2002) - 00 1.8 endura DI fuel pump oil seal 3 Sep 2009 (Forum)
I have a 2000 ford fiesta 1.8 td with the endura di engine. It seems to of developed a serious oil leak. This looks to be around the fuel pump pulley so I am 99% it is the oil seal around the pump itself. I know it is a bolt off plate type seal. -
Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - Gear Selection Problem 13 Aug 2009 (Forum)
I have a 2001 Mondeo 1.8 I had my clutch replaced less than 3000 miles ago, today driving to work I lost gear selection no movement left or right. The clutch was replaced at a Ford Dealer, as such I got it recovered back there. I was told it would be covered under their repair warranty if it was found to be because of the clutch change. Surely if they had changed the clutch they would have needed to remove the gear selection equipment and may have damaged it on re-fitting? -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 02 1.6 Cam belt replacement 13 Jul 2009 (Forum)
Can anyone tell me if £360 quoted by my local Ford dealer is a fair price to charge for a cam belt replacement? Also, my manual says 100k or ten years for cam belt replacement, my 1.6 Zetec hatchback has done 81k. On my last service the dealer said I should look at getting the belt changed asap. -
Ford StreetKa (2003 - ) - 04 1.6 Streetka is revving on its own when sitting 18 Jun 2009 (Forum)
Hi, I really hope someone can help. I have recently bought an 04 Streetka. The car has been sent to Ford x2 and they have said nothing is wrong. However when I am sitting in traffic with all my feet OFF the pedals and the car is in neutral the rev counter shoots up to over 3 all on it's own. It makes such loud noises that I have had to switch the engine off :-( The rev counter also goes daft when I depress the clutch to change gear. -

Ford Fiesta (2002 - 2008) - 04 1.4 Clutch questions. 13 Apr 2009 (Forum)
My wife's Fiesta 1.4 TDCi 04 plate has a clutch that is about to fail. I have had a couple of quotes for doing the work, one from Ford at £504 + VAT and a local garage has quoted me £587 including VAT. My question is does anyone know where I can buy the clutch at a decent price and then get someone to fit it? Also, does this car have a DMF and if so, is it wise to replace this at the same time as the clutch? -

Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 03 1.8 TDCI Clutch problems? 16 Mar 2009 (Forum)
Hi, Hoping you may be able to help me. What are the early signs that a clutch is on its way out? My 03 plate Ford Focus 1.8 Tdci estate's clutch feels 'weird' occasionally - slightly stiffer and 'higher' when pulling away in first. It's better when the car warms up and is not noticable once out of first....any ideas? -
Focus at a Ford dealer - Possible to haggle? 5 Feb 2009 (Forum)
I have seen a W reg Focus at a proper Ford dealer, its £2000 and has 57,000 miles, 12 monts MOT, 6 months warranty and comprehensive health check. It seems ideal but £2k is a little out of my budget unless I can get a good finance deal (I was going to buy 50% cash and 50% credit card but at £2k I would be skint). -
