  Hi All I have a Ford Focus Estate as detailed above with 140,000 miles on the clock.  I do quite high miles (motorway) 40,000 - 50,000 year.  The car has been very reliable but i am afraid that i might be coming into expensive times taking into account the mileage.

  I had one of the cars before (It got written off by an idiot) so I know the cable I have from Ipod to Aux point is the correct one. Ipod works fine on it's own so must be something to do with the stereo. Ford wanted me to take it in and charge me for diagnosing the problem. Halfords said could not touch as it's a Ford fitted Sony system but did say it prob just needs unlocking. I have looked at the secondary functions using the MENU button but all that seems to have is an option to turn AUX on and off (Just to be able to select Aux).

  I have a 95 M ford escort, 1.6 zetec. My boot release button does not work properly. Sometimes it works, other times it does not. I press the button when the ignition is turned off. When it does not work, the de-mister light illuminates and so does the light for the rear foglights.

  I had new front discs and pads fitted to my Ford Focus last November at a main Ford dealer in Devon. However during the MOT in July it was found that the front discs were distorted so the car failed. As I had 12 months guarantee on the brakes fitted last November I went back to them and said they shouldn't have gone after only 4000 miles.

  Hi there, I recently bought a 1997 mk4 Ford Fiesta and it came with only one key (a black one with a red bit on the top). I know this isn't the master key, and I've heard that if I wanted another key (which I do) I'd have to go to my Ford dealer to get a "Red Master" key which costs around £100.

  Can I program this myself or does it have to be done by a Ford main dealer ? I've found lots of information on the internet relating to Mark II mondeo's which work on my car (programing unlocking all doors / drivers door only etc) but the instructions on how to add a new key to the system do not seem to work.

  Ford took my car away for four days and when it came back I'm still having the same problem. Ford said that when they tried it it worked ok. Heres my problem at proving there is a fault. Its an intermittent fault.

  My 2001 2.0L Ford Focus has just been to the local Ford dealer for its 3 year service. The car has done 30,000 miles compared to 37,500 which is the expected mileage for this service. Every thing went fine until the service receptionist stated that the mechanic noticed the brakes were slightly louder under braking than expected so they very courteously performed a free brake analysis.

  Especially as 90% of my miles are long-range journeys on the motorway i.e. the engine runs at temperature. BTW, I presume the Ford dealership, servicing the car under Ford Direct warranty, DOES use top-spec oil??? Thoughts please.
