  Hi,  I have a Ford Focus manual car on PCP. I have only had it for 6 months on a 3 year contract.  I have suffered an ankle injury which is not going to improve on my left foot so using the clutch is very painful.

  Well it didn't take long, owner reports to HJ Agony column today that his new car is displaying a dash problem with the PPF. Ford assures him that the PPF is doing its job and basically to ignore the dash. HJ advises the owner to fill up with top grade fuel and drive the first 5miles at 2000revs. Who wants to own a New car like this, always being aware of the consequences of low revs or dash problems relating to emissions.

  I am a PDI and use this car for driving lessons. The cars done 24K has original discs (not much wear) Recent Ford pads nicely bedded in. Rear shoes half worn. The brakes especially when hot tend to be all or nothing. When pressed that little bit more to slow down more  the brakes are on and grabbing hard, stopping the car on a sixpence - really vicious.

  Ford Focus 1.6 petrol. 2010. Noise coming from belts area not screeching goes away with water test, had PAS hose blow and after having it replaced the noise is now worse. Don’t know if it’s because all the PAS fluid has made it worse or not but I need to change the belts and have all the pulleys checked too but I don’t know what belts to buy.

    When the wipers move there's an audible relay type 'click' from high up above the pedal box/heater box area so I'm guessing the timer/relay is housed within the wiper motor and I'll have to replace it to cure this, can any Ford mechanics or auto electricians confirm this?  Thanks in advance.

  Hello I had engine malfunction messages so took car to the Ford dealer. They said needs new ecu, £1450!. 20 mins after adding new ecu they tell me that new code indicated needs new throttle box, £450! Now should the diagnostic test have shown up the faulty throttle box first and had that been corrected would the ecu have been OK and not needed to be replaced?

The engin light came on and i had a diagonstiv done. the diagnostic read out said " to lean" after a reset it seem to be fine.   5 days later it came back on. when it was of the car surged. now it goes like a rocket but extremely heavyon fuel.

  I am about to buy the new Ford Galaxy but have a dilemma. I want the most powerful engine but I would also like the All Wheel Drive option. However, for some curious reason you can't have the two together. I don't do any off road and am troubled by snow perhaps once or twice a year, but I don't really know if AWD has every day benefits that would be better for me than the extra power.

  I have a Ford Ka with a 1.3 Duratec engine. It would'nt start, I think it was flooded. I removed the spark plugs and sure enough they were wet with petrol. I set the gaps, cleaned and re-fitted them. After a few turns it started and ran OK.

  My current insurance with Ford Insure is due for renewal on the 6th of March, I have not yet received a renewal notice and after telephoning them today was told that it was sent out on the 13th. A reminder is being sent today (19th) I asked for them to send me a copy of entitlement to my No Cliams Bonus and the reply was that they cannot sent this out while my insurance is still a "live" policy.

  I have recently brought a 2003 ford focus. I have been told that one of the alloy wheels is corroding which resulted in a flat tyre the other week as it wasn't sitting correctly on the wheel. Initial enquiries suggest its probably easier to get some wheels from another focus but I don't know whether I can just have any wheels or whether they have to be exactly the same as what I already have.

  Hi, I have a 2011 Ford Fiesta 1.6 with Duratec engine. The car had a front smash and we replaced bumper, bonett, cradle, radiator, fan and a/c condensor. I also replaced the oil pressure switch as the oil pressur light kept coming on.

  All warning lights come on but the car will restart immediately and drive Normally fora couple of weeks before it happens again. The locaL ford garage has found nothing so far and has reprogrammed the Ecu but the fault has happened again. Any ideas would be welcome as I can't trust the car at present. Thanks

  Ford Fiesta has a seized piston so I have brought another second hand hoping to replace the seized one.    However I have fallen at the the first hurdle, The purchased brake caliper has come with the flexi brake pipe attached where they have just cut the hose.
