Astra 1.4i sidewindow 31 Jan 2003 (Forum)
My problem is that the window at drivers door will go slowly down a couple of milli- meters, the window will then be a little noise. It´s a -92 modell with mechanics windows. I don´t know if the slide holds the window up or if it´s something in the handle mechanics. Roland -

Currently run a 130K miles 1.9Tdi 5 year old Fabia Elegance which I've had from new and it?s brilliant but it?s corroding and it?s got 130K on it! My wife runs an Aygo. Not much more to say about that.... Work 1.6 Focus Zetec may necessitate sale of Fabia. Need to replace Aygo to compensate for loss of Fabia power/kit. -

Steam trains in austere times & cars of the day 25 Jan 2010 (Forum)
I can remember going around with a grimy shirt collar at school in the 50`s and thinking it was my fault. But really it was all those smoky chimneys here up North - and on the LMS line - those great Austerity class steam trains stonking by at walking pace - pulling 150 coal trucks. -
Car Manufacturer's Poor Websites 3 Jun 2008 (Forum)
Just aborted an attempt to use both the Ford and Citroen configuration functions because they simply didn't work for me! I could go on, I recently stopped dealing with a certain online IFA because their site was hopeless in the Mac / Safari world - security not working, nothing sized correctly etc. - the reply to my complaint was a whole list of instructions on how set up IE7 on a PC! -
3 kids - what car? 30 Dec 2007 (Forum)
The Disco is perfect as a family car as I have three kids aged 10-13 and it has seven separate seats. Previously I have had three Ford Galaxy's for the same purpose. When the kids were younger and in car seats it was impossible to fit three car seats across the back row in anything other than an MPV! Both my wife and I are fed up with poor performance, handling, fuel economy of Disco and don't want to go back to an MPV. -

car servicing scam to end 17 May 2004 (Forum)
These restrictive clauses, which affected 49% of new cars sold last year, have now been removed following pressure from the OFT. This could save motorists up to £500m a year Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Citroen, Ford, Mercedes, Peugeot, Seat, Skoda, Smart and Volkswagen have fallen in line with the OFT\'s call, although strict conditions on the quality of the work by independent garages remain. DaimlerChrysler, for instance, insists that work is done to an \'excellent\' standard and uses approved parts for the warranty to remain valid, while BMW says servicing has to meet certain guidelines and use parts \'of a similar quality\' to its own.
