Jaguar Autobox 12 Jun 2005 (Forum)
Also, What's the verdict on the 5-speed electronic autoboxes fitted to 97-on XJ8 and the 5-speed box fitted to the S-Type? Is the S-type box the same as the XJ8? There are A LOT of autobox failures with regards to S-Type autobox on CarSurvey but not that many failure on XJ8. Many thanks, Gazza -
Mini Cooper S 1st service, or lack of! 18 Apr 2005 (Forum)
My dads Cooper S is just over a year old and when he rang the local dealer that he bought it from they said it didn't need it's 1st service until the car had done 10,000 miles. Bearing in mind that it has only done 4 - 5k in just over a year that will make the car over 2 years old before it has a service. -
P Reg Toyota Carina 5 1.8 Auto 9 Apr 2004 (Forum)
Hi Guys, Have a problem that\'s been bothering me for some time. Sometimes the revs just drop when I\'m driving and the car starts labouring and then starts to judder. If I switch the overdrive off, then the situation improves for a little while but it\'s no fix. -

Fiat 500e - Is my car a Cat S? 12 Aug 2023 (Forum)
However, the report they submitted to the insurance company stated that the vehicle should be dealt as a total loss due to GTA guidance showing the costs exceeding 66% of the market value. The report also stated under salvage category that the vehicle was a Category S. The insurance company initially wanted to deal with the claim on a total loss basis but once they realised the vehicle had PCP on it, they opted for the repair route instead. When I questioned on the report that a Category S was also listed, I was assured that because they were not dealing with the claim as a total loss, the vehicle would not be recorded as a Cat S. -
Early MOT 20 Nov 2023 (Forum)
That’s indeed true if you are keen to preserve the existing anniversary date-but I’m not. Another option is to wait a further 3 months - couple of thousand miles down the line at max-then get service and MOT done together in late Feb. What’s best? -
2013 Merc A Class w176 - 2013 Merc A Class w176 Cigarette/Socket Fuse 4 Aug 2020 (Forum)
I did find something online, and it said it was fuse 70 and 72. I checked these, but they look ok. They are also rated at 7.5 Amp, although the socket says max 15 Amp. I don't think these locations are correct. Anyone know what the location is? I have also checked the manual to no avail. -
Audi A3 - High mileage petrol Audi - Mercedes 20 Aug 2015 (Forum)
Hi I would like to buy an Audi A3 or Mercedes C180 . My budget is max 5500£. My initial plan was to go for high mileage deisel. on further research came to know that the Euro 5 diesels with high mileage might mean that you could be looking at big bucks to replace the EGR, the DPF, the injectors, the glowplugs and maybe the turbo, so could set you back £5k. -
Audi A3 Sportback 1.9tdi 2005 - Diesel MOT smoke test result, pass but near limit. 28 Jul 2014 (Forum)
Just had the car mot'd and although it passed, I am bit concerned that the 'Turbo test result' came out as 2.80 m-1 which is not far off the max of 3.00. The car is Euro 1V and has done about 84k miles and would have expected a better result than this especially as the car is not used for short journeys and is serviced as scheduled. Should I be concerned and do you think I have a problem somewhere? -

fiesta mk4 zetec - mk4 fiesta heater 4 May 2012 (Forum)
I have a mk4 fiesta zetec, When driving it yesterday the heater control was up about 3/4 of the way round, But was blowing out cold air, so i turned it to max but still only gets warm air through.!! Ihave felt the water pipes coming up and out the otherside of the heater control valve and they are all hot too. But still have no hot air , also the temp gauge is running on the bottom of normal( don't know if this is anything to do with this problem!) -

other - buying a runaround 11 Sep 2011 (Forum)
Up to now we've had one car, but now need a second to ferry kids around. Our budget is £3000 max although I would rather spend about £2k. I would like isofix anchors, a five door hatch if possible, though i would consider three, low insurance and tax, and cheap to run. I have in mind a Honda Civic circa 2002 on account of its good reliability record, but there may be other cars that you would recommend. if so I would be grateful for your thoughts. -
Renault Megane - Radweld - slow radiator leak, advice please 21 Jan 2011 (Forum)
Hi all Having replaced the radiator on my Y reg Megane after a smash with one from the breakers, I've noticed that the coolant drops from max to min over about a month. So far I've just kept topping it up and checking it regularly, but I was wandering if radweld or a similar radiator sealant would be worth trying? I have yet to find the point that its leaking from but there are no obvious leaks from hoses etc. -

i'm driving some relatives to heathrow on sunday and need to know where the drop off point is at terminal 3. i assume it will be sign posted but if any one can help it would be useful. i don't want to use a car park, just drop them off and go, say 5-10 mins max. what signs do i look out for and what postcode should i use for the sat nav? i've heard its outside the departure "level".
