  New car registrations increased in October 4 Nov 2011 (News)
  According to the figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)  the most popular model in October was the Ford Fiesta , which outsold the second place Corsa by more than 1,000 units. The Fiesta is also the most popular car year-to-date, with 84,506 sold since January. Fleets and businesses took 59.2% of new car registrations in October 2011, up 2.9% over 2010.

  Motorpoint Rescues Rusted Falcon Ute 1 Apr 2009 (News)
  It was deluged with entries, and evdentually selected an Australian assembled right-hand-drive 1964 Ford Falcon pick-up that was literally falling to pieces in its owner driveway in Both'ess, near Edinburgh. Since then Motorpoint has been working its magic on the ute, restoring it to its former glory before returning it to its owner yesterday.

  Anniversaries to be celebrated at Classic Motor Show 2 Sep 2008 (News)
  Claiming that the Birmingham NEC event "is all about numbers - mainly anniversaries", organisers of the exhibition are looking to commemorate the birth of vehicles and manufacturers such as Land Rover, Team Lotus, Ford Escort, Austin Allegro and the Vincent Black Shadow. Television motoring specialist Mike Brewer will be at the showcase, along with Edd China. Meanwhile, representatives of Leeds College of Technology will be on hand in the Restoration Theatre to give out classic car advice.

  'Drivers could save by reversing' 18 Jul 2008 (News)
  Demand for environmentally-friendly vehicles has been outlined by automobile manufacturer Ford.   Used car guide notches up 75 years 3 Jul 2008 (News)
  The first version of the guide was put out by William Glass, a motor engineer, in 1933. In the original edition, the Ford 10 De Luxe was included, with the tome stating that it was worth £145 second-hand - an amount twice the average salary of the time. Three-quarters of a century later and it could be that motorists still turn to the guide for car buying advice .

  Mazda production goes up 22 per cent 28 May 2008 (News)
  "Exports from Japan were remarkably robust for the month with Europe leading the way showing a year-on-year improvement of 92.6 per cent at 33,487 units," the company commented. Mazda is a partial subsidiary of Ford, as the firm owns 33.9 per cent of it. It was founded in 1920 and worldwide the automaker employs more than 36,000 people. Mazda headquarters is located in the Japanese city of Hiroshima, in the Fuchu, Aki area.

  Fiat sees increase in European sales 18 Oct 2007 (News)
  Its Fiat Punto also sold strongly, with 27,811 units rolled out of Fiat dealerships in September. Other popular models included the Peugeot 207, Ford Fiesta and the Golf from Volkswagen - Europe's most popular brand, it added. The German car company finished top of the heap despite a fall in the number of models it had sold last month compared to one year earlier.
