  Hi all I’ve had this car for about a year now, had it serviced & had the cambelt replaced over summer. It is a 2006 Mk6 Ford Fiesta with a 1.25 zetec petrol engine. Since buying the car, I have always noticed a popping noise coming from the exhaust when revving the engine however I had thought nothing of it until now. The other morning when trying to start the car, it turned over fine and the engine started but immediately afterwards the revs dropped and the car stalled.

  Hello everyone, I have a Ford Ka 2003, just under 60,000 miles with the Check Engine light on. Went to garage yesterday for diagnostic and they said that it was an exhaust sensor issue and the light had gone off but if it came back on then to come back and they'll sort it (liars, I turned the car on and it was still there, but they were closing in 20 minutes so no chance of getting a repair).

• Ford Mondeo Estate 05 plate. - Wheel sizing 10 Oct 2016 (Forum)
  The car is a top spec. model with a 225/40 R18 combination that he'd like to replace with a more conventional size, say 205/55 R16 found on my 55 plate Zetec or something in between. Replacement wheels will preferably be a FORD set, but are aftermarket alternatives (new) an option worth considering. Is this possible, without affecting rolling diameter / speedo and ABS functions etc. We are aware that the Insurance will need to be advised of any such changes as well as a possible change to 'all weather' / Winter tyres.

  hi, I bought a Ford Escort online and all worked well but one year later I had a problem with the engine and sent it to get fixed when I got my car back it was fixed but I suspect they disconnected the radio and the asked for the code because I didn't found the code in the manual I couldn't fix it but my brother, whitout me knowing, started to input random codes until lock13 appeared on the display   I found this website when searching the web for solutions and I often see topics related with this radio and in one of those I saw a link wich I needed to input the serial number (m354363) and it gave me the code 6700   the problem is that in this website I only see topics that say it will only go to lock10 but because on my radio is lock13 I don't know if I only need to input the code or something else, and how because my radio only has keys from 1 to 6 and I don't know how to input 7   I would appreciate if anyone could help me

  I have since discovered if you are inside the car and try to lock it with the handle on the passenger side, the car locks and then unlocks again straight away but locking it with the Driver's handle is fine. I remember ages and ages ago a Ford dealer saying turn the key to ignition 2 4 times and the car will dong but I forgot the rest. I get that far and push either the unlock button and it will dong or the lock button and it will dong but I don't know what to do after that.

  Hi all My wife has a 2010 Fiesta that we bought 2nd hand at 5 months old and 7k on the clock. 2 years ago the cooling fan(which runs all the time when the aircon is on) started squealing and the entire assembly was replaced by Ford under warranty. In the last couple of weeks the squealing started again intermittently and yesterday morning as she left for work it started rattling very loudly and on switching off the engine it sounded like a washing machine slowing down in spin -it was that loud.

  Hi.  We had a problem with our 2002 Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4l on Saturday - the indicators on the driver's side were stuck on and stayed on even with the key removed.  We got someone out to look at it who diagnosed an earth problem.  After disconnecting and reconnecting all the lights on the drivers side, the problem was solved, but the mechanic had no idea what had caused the problem or how he'd fixed it.

  The dial read 19 when it should have been 40. I could visually see the figure drop almost by the second. I contacted Ford and the person there said "it just does it, even on mine". No real explanation. But why should it not register the actual mileage countdown, rather than an accelerated false version. If anyone on here has the new shape Fiesta, watch out in case you think you might be running out sooner than you think.

  It was suggested that I disconnect the battery when storing it, I just looked in the Haynes manual to see which terminal I should disconnect first and read that if I disconnect the battery the ECU will lose the information stored in it's memory (KAM), this includes idling and operating values  and any fault codes detected, it goes on.......... Also the Ford keycode audio unit will not function again on reconnection until the security code is entered (I bought the car from auction 7 years ago and was never given the code.) Also it will be necessary to re-initialiose each electric window motor seperatley.
