  • New Focus Auto Express article 8 Sep 2004 (Forum)
Having read this week's article in Auto Express, I had to check to see if it was actually an advertisement! I have never read such a biased opinion on a car. Terminology like "Ford's new best seller", "astounding driving experience" Maybe the car is that good, maybe they were short of news this week, but something makes me think that Ford may have helped "contribute" to the article.

  • LAND ROVER 25 Mar 2001 (Forum)
i read with astonishment that Ford /Landrover were to lay people of because of the shortage of BMW engines .You would think that Ford could source an appropriate engine from its vast worldwide factories ,or even produce its own. The mind boggles.
  • Nissan Almera - Almera MOT Brake trouble!! 7 Mar 2012 (Forum)
Hi there,  I took my 1998 S reg 1.4 almera to get its MOT done today. I was reccomended the MOT centre by a colleague from work - as I am working away from home and was not sure of any decent local garages. I was very happy when it passed with no advisories :) It has a great service history, so I was expecting it to pass.
  • Nissan X-Trail (2007 - ) - J D power 2009 xtrail 14 Jun 2009 (Forum)
But at any rate both a decent to drive. Economy, i don't know how these owners drive, but 30mpg towing 1330kg, high 30's solo (max 42mpg old model) previously, and oddly with the heavier more powerful new xtrail i get more, the trip computer is showing just under 42mpg at the moment, best i had 44mpg! That's good isn't it?

  • Kia Sportage - Another over designed car. Where's good design? 18 Jun 2021 (Forum)
https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/new-cars/2021-06/revealed-all-new-2021-kia-sportage-get-dramatic-redesign/ The current one, like ORB's has always looked bang on to me, and more classy than an Eyoke. Where has simple good design gone to? Mazda seem to get it right, although the 3's C-pillar is on the slab/van thickness side.
  • Estate or SUV - Next family car 18 Mar 2021 (Forum)

Had a major service from the main dealers before I got it but after the warranty year runs out it will my trusted indie looking after it.
