Researching-researching always aware of new points of view. I unfortunatelty bought a new Ford Mondeo , to replace our lovely 22 year old Granada. Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi - Does the 08-11 suffer the turbo problems of 04-07 5 May 2015 (Forum)
HJ's reviews don't mention turbo problems on the 2008-2011 1.6 TDCi facelift model but I am trying to check if there have been problems with those model years as I understand Ford improved the oil supply pipes for 2008+ model year I would buy a 90bhp model hopefully without the DPF if the turbo gets a clean bill of health. thanks! -

Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi Diesel 2008 - Intermittent starting problems 13 Oct 2014 (Forum)
Recently purchased a Ford Focus Diesel Estate (TDCi, 2008) and the other day it struggled to start, then a couple of days later it failed to start at all, it was turning over but just wouldn't catch. Called the RAC and they plugged in the diagnostics and got two error codes surrounding the fuel rail and pump, and said the pressure in the pump was very low. -
Ford Focus 1.8 2000 - High revs 23 Jul 2014 (Forum)
He tried taking it round the block but the temperature went up really quickly. We have no idea what the problem could be as Ford says it needs reprogramming and a local garage says it's an air leak, but he can't find one anywhere. Any help would be appreciated!! -
Ford Fiesta 08 1.4tdci (old model) - Fuel Filler Cap Leaking 10 Jul 2014 (Forum)
I've wiped around the seal and the cap many times and this has not cured it. Are there any general issues with Ford's filler caps? I don't want to keep splashing out on new caps all the time, so are there any other ways of repairing it? The 'O' ring looks like it's in good condition and is not deteriorated either. -
Ford Zetec. Petrol. 1.4. 2004 year model. - Rubbing noise at low speed from engine. 21 Apr 2014 (Forum)
A worn belt was replaced in 2011. The car has recently passed its MOT and had the clutch replaced at Ford Service centre outside Nottingham. I do not think it is the brakes as car brakes quite normally and does show any odd characteristics when driving. Low rubbing noise is intermittent usually when you take foot of accerallator pedal. -

Ford Mondeo - Engine mount/ oil 13 Sep 2013 (Forum)
I took it to my mates garage and he could not figure out where the oil was coming from and thought the same as me from the bearing. Checking with ford they said timing chain cover or would have to look at but the mount does not have oil in it. I had the area cleaned to see where it was coming from and it's definitely the mount. I have just found out the mount has a hydro bearing in it which means it has oil in it.
