  If you own the previous generation BMW 5 Series, built from 2003 to 2012, or the previous generation 6 Series, built from 2004 to 2011, then your car may be affected. BMW is working with the DVLA to gather details of current BMW 5 Series and 6 Series owners, so you should expect a letter withing the next few weeks.

  Bristol refuses to say which BMW engine will be under the bonnet, but it won’t be the first time the British carmaker has used Munich’s powerplants. Until the early 1960s, all Bristol cars used Bristol-built versions of the BMW M328 2.0-litre six-cylinder (also found in Frazer Nashes, ACs and Lotus racers).

  BMW reveals registration increase in 2007 8 Jan 2008 (News)
  "The introduction of a range of cars equipped with EfficientDynamics features helped us to consolidate our position as the leading manufacturer of premium vehicles," said Jim O'Donnell, BMW UK managing director. BMW driver Amir Khan has been banned from the road for six weeks following a speeding conviction. The 21-year-old boxer was clocked by officers on the M62 driving at 140 mph.

  What happens to the Olympic fleet? 22 Aug 2012 (News)
  Over both the Olympics and Paralympics the fleet of cars is operated by LOCOG, but once the games end they’ll be handed back over to BMW. The cars, mostly 320d and 520d models, will be prepared in the usual manner to reach BMW Approved Used standards. But rather than simply flood the used car market nationwide with 100s of nearly new cars BMW will sell them gradually over a period of time to the people behind the games - the London 2012 organising committee and the Olympic volunteers – along with BMW’s corporate partners and employees.

  Garmin today announced that it will supply the BMW Group with the Garmin nüvi® 360 as a customised portable navigation solution for the BMW 1 and 3 Series. "This system has numerous customisations that make it unique to BMW such as the BMW logo on the navigation device's exterior casing and welcome screen, the BMW dealer database stored on the unit and the tailored mounting system," said Roger Jollis, Garmin's director of OEM & mobile marketing.
