• Lexus GS450h - Shock absorbers 23 May 2014 (Forum)
  Dear all,  I need to replace 3 shock absorbers on my Lexus GS450h and the dealership wants the best part of 2 grand to do it!   I cannot seem to source the parts myself, can anyone help me find some shocks for this?   Thanks

  Despite significant involvement of my Lexus dealer and Lexus GB they cannot source the cause of the fault and it is now in the hands of Lexus Europe.  Has anyone else experienced this fault?

  I'll keep it for 3 years at least so independent servicing makes sense, not least because it's due a major service (60,000) and a cambelt change. Anyone know of an indy Lexus garage in or around Manchester?

  Whereas the Lexus owner has a lot invested in the car so look after it but on the other hand it is really a Toyota underneath.

  When in guidance mode directions were not given from the actual location but from the cursor was located. does anyone else experience this problem? Lexus UK  are baffled and do not have a fix.

  They are clearly well aware that the claimed figures in many cases are unachieveable. Having said that both my last Lexus IS250 and my current Skoda Yeti do pretty much what it says on the tin, 31.8 for the Lexus and 47 for my 140bhp TDI Yeti.

  Obviously this is in response to VW bashing accusations on the other horror stories thread - there are plenty of Subaru owners here and im sure a few Lexus aswell, so people, are the perceived reputations of these makes justified? Its already been mentioned that VW doesnt always live up to its reputation on occasion - are Subaru and Lexus, to pick two of what appear to be the best living up to theirs?

  Hi This is my first post so hello to all. My Dad is having a a bit of trouble with his Lexus Harrier, basically imported version of the RX300. One morning all starts ok. Runs ok. Doesn't cut out at all as you would drive normally. However, when you stop it and turn off occasionally (about 1 in 3 now) & go to re-start it's all dead.

  Ive mentioned on a previous thread that Ive been offered 4k off the price of any new Lexus (as I expect the whole customer base has) I have found out today that Lexus GB are promoting this.How would this effect the dealers profit margin if Lexus are basically covering this discount.   Hello everyone, I'm in a need for a scan/photo of the very first page (foreword) of any Toyota's Owner Manual. Need a proof for a friend of mine who simply cannot believe that a Lexus is made by Toyota. Showed him a GS300 book, but to convince him 100% I think I'd need the above mentioned scan/photo. Rumour is they were so lazy they've only exchanged the word "Toyota" with "Lexus" (the rest of the foreword being all the same).

  How far behind are JD power surveys? We (business) have bought 3 new Lexus IS in the last few months Two of them have developed rattles that required the dash to be reomved to be cured. A major job I am told. Other rattles also required removal of the B pillars and re padding MAny other similar complaints of this nature are on the Lexus forums.
