Todays Auction at BCA Blackbushe 16 Mar 2001 (News)
The fact that these were let loose under trade book shows the growing anxiety of fleet managers holding expensive cars that employees dont want to pay the benefit tax on from April next year. Finally, how would you price an 82,000 mile 90H, ten year old Toyota Previa automatic? The bidding started at £2,000 but it sold for £4,050. These vehicles are gold dust and this one was mobbed. See separate news for details of a Spring Sale of 61 ex Leaseplan convertibles at BCA Blackbushe on Monday 19th March. -
Plenty of variety at March part-exchange auctions 7 Mar 2001 (News)

Even a smart, metallic grey 90,000 mile 92K Mazda Xedos 6 SE automatic, one of the best looking saloons of all time, ran into the wall at a top bid of £1,900. And older Rovers seriously struggled. Top bid for a 58,000 mile 93L 420 GSi was £875 while £750 was all a 108,000 mile 94L 827Sli auto in Nightfire red could manage. -

Private Buyers Still Paying for Status 16 Feb 2001 (News)
And the crazy gang even included someone immune to all the news reports who stumped up £7,400 for an 81,000 97R Ford Explorer on Firestone tyres. If there was a bargain of the day, it had to be an 18,000 mile 2000W BMW 323CI automatic coupe which sold for £19,900 (compared to last weeks £21,400 for a similar car), but only because it came with no documentation of any kind. Full list of UK auction centres in the Directory on this website. -
