£20 Mondeo at Auction Today 24 Nov 2004 (News)

  • A Grand Monday: Rover 45 V6 Connoisseur 25 Mar 2019 (News)
If you can lay your hands on some silver doors from a breaker, then it has the potential to be a truly immaculate car, with the added advantage of optional ‘Personal Line’ Copperbeech carpets and trim.  With a little bit of work, this will make a lovely car. Or alternatively, it’s a fabulous cheap runabout with a wonderfully smooth quad cam V6.
  • Toyota to build Suzuki-badged cars in the UK 20 Mar 2019 (News)
These will be badged and sold as Suzuki models. In return, Toyota will adopt Suzuki engines for compact cars at its plant in Poland. While Toyota is a long-established producer of hybrid vehicles, Suzuki has only dabbled in mild hybrid technology in recent years. The partnership is likely to see self-charging hybrid Suzukis to be introduced, as well as plug-in hybrid models.
  • A Grand Monday: Rover 416 GSi 28 Jan 2019 (News)
As the most successful product of the Rover/Honda partnership, the R8 was also one of the UK’s best-selling cars until its untimely demise (Coupe, Cabrio and Tourer excepted) in 1995, after just six years on sale.  The fact that you still see the odd 200 or 400 knocking around in daily use is testimony to the build quality of what was arguably Rover’s best-ever car (the 75 was probably better in a contemporary context, but the R8 is certainly more durable), and with interest in the model expected to pick up throughout 2019, we can’t help but think that  this week’s star of the small ads is a bit of a bargain.
