Vauxhall Corsa C - 2004 Easytronic 1ltr - Flashing F 1 Oct 2015 (Forum)
Hi, I wonder if someone could help me, my daughters corsa developed the flashing F a few months ago, we managed to keep it working for a while by disconnecting and reconnecting the 2 plugs to the ecu, then that stopped working and we had to gentley tap the gear actuator to get the car to go into Neutral to get the car to start. We then decided it was a problem with the ecu, so we sent it away to be repaired, when it came back it was refitted and the clutch was bled twice, the car now starts but still has the flashing f and will not go into gear at all, so then we decided to buy an opcom obd2 which is comming up with P1700 which clears and P1723 which doesn't......have changed the gear selector motors and still the same problem, starts....no gears and a flashing F....any help would be much appreciated....need to be mobile again! -
Saab 9-3 1.9 TDI sport 2006 - Help 11 Nov 2014 (Forum)
I turned the ignition off and started the engine up again and the car seems fine again. The ecu light is still on. Is the garage right about taking time for the light to go out ? And does anyone know what happened with the turbo. I have only had the car 4 weeks and I am losing confidence in driving it -

Hi, my first post and my first problem! I have a peugeot 308 was in a light accident but now repaired, all airbags replaced, airbag ecu crash data taken off. First fault is when trying to reset airbag lights (electrician used a snap on verus) it cant communicate with the ecu so wont knock off the lights? Second fault dont know if its related but vehicle will not rev over 2-3k rpm also shows "anti pollution warning" and engine management light on. -

Volkswagen Golf III (1992 - 1997) - 1995 1.8 AAM Auto engine hesitation when cold 3 Nov 2008 (Forum)
If I don't drive off from cold and just let the engine idle for a while, the revs will drop down and the engine will almost stall until I push on the accelerator again and then its fine. The car always starts fine and runs well otherwise. There are also no faults recorded on the ECU and the ECU temp sensors (coolant and air) read exactly what the current outside temperatures are. regs Joshs -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 2003 1.8 tdci 115 - lumpy running 26 Aug 2008 (Forum)
I've seen various references on the web to injector recalibrating - is this likely to be needed or would it help to put some injector cleaner through the engine - I'm not sure if this is recommended with these engines ?? Secondly, I've been thinking about having the ECU remapped by a reputable firm to boost the rather naff low speed torque & improve fuel consumption, does anyone know if this can help the above problems - presumably they would look at the ECU and find out if anything untoward is happening anyway?? -
Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - Bits floating in fuel after system re-build ? 25 Aug 2007 (Forum)
Its had a new lifter pump, high pressure pump, all new filters and injectors cleaned. Peugeot originally said it needed a new ecu, had that sent off and checked at the ecu doctor, very helpful, was running in another car perfectly. They now reckon that there are bits floating round in the fuel system and say its gonna cost another £2500!!!!!!!! -

Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 1999 HDi Central Locking problem 8 Jul 2005 (Forum)
When this happens the car then refuses to start and an independent electrician i had look at the car reported that the ECU reported it was locked out as if the key security codes had not been seen by the BDU (?) so was refusing to let the engine start. Recently having left the car open, I returned and it refuse to start. -
Ford Focus C-Max 2.0tdci zetec 24 Mar 2005 (Forum)
Hi I have a problem with the above named car. The engine runs but only at tickover. The car has only done 11500 miles. I diagnosed an ECU failure, the man who came to collect the car to take to the garage stated "its computers gone, its not going anywhere". I have had a similar fault on a high milage Merc Sprinter van (312000 miles). -
ford sierra abs 30 Jul 2004 (Forum)
Recently the abs warning light came on so I had the sensors checked. One or two looked a bit grotty so I had all four replaced. The light now goes out on tickover but lights up as soon as I reach 40mph. Have had the ECU interrogated by a Ford dealer who couldnt find anything wrong after 1 hours work so they advised that the cost of finding the fault was more than the car is worth.I take their point but as I am in my early 70s dearly wish to retain the car.Can anyone suggest where the fault lies.I obviously do not want to go to the expense of a new ECU -that would be a bit OTT as the work so far has cost over £500.
