  • More Power, Less Money For MX5 26 Sep 2001 (News)
Combined fuel consumption is 31.7mpg. And to complete the range you can now get an official automatic MX5 1.8. Performance is severely compromised, though, with a zero to sixty of 10.7 seconds and a top speed of 118mph. Price is £16,495 and combined consumption 29.8mpg. Remember, improvements to the MX5 a few years ago brought a heated glass rear screen, a hood the folds single-handedly in five seconds, and a boot both wide and deep enough for two sets of golf clubs.
