Toyota releases further iQ details

Mon, 13 Oct 2008
Motorists looking for car buying advice may be interested to hear Toyota has released price and specification details for the new iQ.

The vehicle will cost from £9,495 on the road and buyers will be able to choose between two trim levels - the iQ and the iQ2.

The iQ features 15-inch alloy wheels, heated and electrically-adjustable door mirrors, a six-speaker audio system which is MP3 compatible and air conditioning.

Motorists looking for a slightly higher spec may prefer the iQ2 which comes with a smart entry and start system, climate control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and high-gloss alloy wheels.

The manufacturer claims the model also meets the highest safety standards, featuring advanced braking and handling technology, as well as nine airbags as standard.

With carbon emissions of less than 100 g/km, owners will find they are exempt from road tax.

In other motoring news, the Toyota Prius recently collected the Greenest Technology of the Year title at the British Technology Awards.
