Notable non-sellers were a 10k mile 54 reg E60 BMW 525i manual with leather on 18” Dunlop runflats bid to a provisional £21,000, a 77k mile 52 reg Lexus LS430 bid to £16,400, a 38k mile 03 reg BMW 525d manual bid to £10,750, a 117k mile Y reg BMW 530dSE auto bid to £7,450 and an 81k mile 51 reg Alfa 1566 2.4JTD bid to £4,200.

  Few Bargains at Auction Today 8 Oct 2004 (News)
  A 78k mile 2000X BMW 330CI sold for £12,300. Even a tatty, independently imported 138k mile unwarranted 94L Honda Prelude made a grand. Why this should be is only partly explained by the true new car sales figures for September, down to 430,763 including last minute registrations to ‘fleets’.

  Auctions Should Get Interesting Next Week 21 May 2004 (News)
  For a start, this rare left hand drive BMW Z8 is entered for Monday’s Top Car sale at BCA Blackbushe. Speculation amongst traders today was it would reach about £50,000, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Generally, the trade is in the doldrums.

The selection included a 53k mile 2001X BMW 525i Sport, sold for £12,600; a 65k mile 2001X Mercedes E240 2.6 Elegance estate, sold for £13,000; a 78k mile 2001X BMW 520i 2.2 SE auto, sold for £10,500; a 65k mile 02 reg BMW 525dSE with leather and in really nice ‘Bluewater’ silver-blue, sold for £14,800; and a 78k mile 2000X Mercedes E240 2.6 Elegance, sold for just £9,800.

  Next up is a 1990 BMW E30 M3 Sport Evolution. Originally sold in Germany, it was imported to the UK in 1999. It is finished in Jet Black Metallic with Black Nappa leather, Recaro sports seats, as well as suede-trimmed steering wheel, handbrake leaver and gear stick.

  Alpina launches performance B3 S Bi-Turbo 21 May 2010 (News)
  German firm Alpina has launched its exlcusive B3 S Bi-Turbo in the UK with first deliveries due in July 2010. Based on the BMW 3-Series and available as a saloon, Touring, Coupe or Convertible, it's been given the full Alpina treatment with unique styling and a high performance engine. Power comes from a 3.0-litre straight-six which delivers 400bhp which is enough - in Coupe form - to give it a 0-62mph time of 4.7 seconds while economy is 29.1mpg with emissions fo 224g/km of CO2, an improvement over the previous B3 S.

  BMW has now re-launched the E46 316i saloon and Touring models with the same UK built N42 1,796cc 115bhp Valvetronic engine as the new Compact. This is as poerful as the old 1.9 litre 8-valve engine fitted in the 318i up to September 2001.

  Apart from the three that got burned out in the Bradford riots last weekend, the new MINI has been a sell-out. BMW has issued a press release stating that none will be delivered before October. And Quentin Willson's column in The Daily Mirror on Friday told us that orders for MINI Coopers are so high that fresh orders cannot be met until 2002.

  Lexus tops JD Power ranking 17 Apr 2001 (News)
  It is the first time Lexus has been represented in the annual survey of the UK car market. Jaguar retains second place for the third consecutive year, while BMW improves to third place. Toyota is placed fourth, with Porsche, another brand new to the survey, in fifth position. The Lexus LS400 heads the model rankings in the latest survey, followed by the Toyota Yaris, the Lexus GS300 and BMW 7 Series, with the Rover 75 and Lexus IS200 sharing fifth place.
