  There can be provisional bid after provisional bid, then one car sold for sensible money sets off a clutch of ten sales. First, a 38k mile 2001/51 BMW 330i facelift model manual with leather, sold for £15,800. Then a 48k mile 97P SL320, sold for £17,900. Then a 47k mile 2001/51 CLK 230K Avantgard convertible, sold for £22,000. Then a 32k mile 2002/52 BMW 525iSE, sold for £16,800.

  BMW Book Prices Rewritten at Auction Today 17 Nov 2003 (News)
  Another big BMW Finance sale at Blackbushe today, the second within a week. And though some of the cars were the same, unsold last Wednesday, there was plenty of new stock to get the crowd excited. Stars of the show both had the same 3.0 litre diesel engine.

  It’s cloth interior should have killed a 61k mile 2000W BMW 328i, but didn’t and, after starting at £8k it romped home to sell for £11,050. Diesels went plain daft with £550 paid for a 175,000 mile 93L 106 1.4XND Graduate and £1,550 for a maroon 130k mile 95N Golf III D CL estate.

  Downscale a bit, a 3,000 mile 02 reg Landcruiser 4.2 VX Active sold for £34,000; a 52,000 mile 2000X S320 CDI bid to £30,900; a 16,000 mile 2001Y SLK 320 auto sold for £24,500; a 45,000 mile 2000X BMW 740i bid to £23,400; a 60,000 mile TVR Chimaera 5.0HC bid to £22,500; a 5,000 mile 2001/51 Jaguar XJ8 3.2 Executive stuck at a disappointing £22,300; a 56,000 mile 99S AMG E55 (like Quentin Willson had) sold for £20,400; a 46,000 mile 2001X C320 Avant Garde sold for £19,800; and a 60,000 mile 97P BMW 840 CI coupe sold for £14,500.

  MINI Specifications Announced 26 Feb 2001 (News)
  While Chili adds fabric and leather sports seats, leather steering wheel, sports suspension, 16" alloy wheels and a roof spoiler to the Pepper items for the COOPER. Though BMW is setting up stand-alone MINI showrooms, the car can be ordered from virtually any BMW dealer and advance orders of 1,500 have already been taken. Eventual production of the Oxford factory is estimated to be 100,000 a year and the UK will take 20,000.

  April 2017 recall round-up: Faulty Honda airbags, Renault clutch problems and problematic Peugeots 12 Apr 2017 (News)
  It's been a significant few weeks for car recalls, with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) issuing national alerts for more than 225,000 vehicles. The recalls affect some of Britain's favourite cars and includes the BMW 3 Series, Honda Jazz and Vauxhall Corsa.  Volkswagen is also recalling 3800 cars over a seat belt and airbag problem, while Citroen, Honda, BMW and Vauxhall are issuing national alerts over airbag faults.  There are also some significant issues with Porsche and Maserati, with the later recalling the Ghibli and Quattroporte over a fuel leak.

  Mercedes-Benz gullwing crashes on the Mille Miglia 19 May 2014 (News)
  The 300SL is said to have had a frontal collision with the BMW 1-Series, which was on its way to Rome - and the cause of the crash is as yet unknown at the moment. Two ambulances arrived at the scene of the crash and transported both drivers to the hospital - and injuries sustained are said to be not serious.

  Britons 'love driving in convertibles' 15 Apr 2008 (News)
  Car supermarket chain Carcraft revealed a 33 per cent increase in the uptake of topless cars over the course of 2006 and 2007. The vehicles picked up most frequently by consumers are the Mazda MX-5 and BMW-3, the automobile company added, while newer convertibles such as the BMW 3-series have also proved popular. And Carcraft managing director Barry Nightingale has commented that the number of people attracted to used convertibles is growing each year.

  BMW has launched a controlled second-hand programme for the new MINI to be called 'MINI Cherished'. It offers used buyers a complete package of at least 12 months unlimited mileage warranty and Europe-wide emergency service, plus accident management throughout the car's life.
