  The headlamps on my peugeot have suddenly stopped working, when i switch them on the dash lights up but the lights do not come on. I need to try and get this sorted asap as my MOT retest is on Monday. I have checked the bulbs and they work fine.

  The best price I was given, the guy told me it included balancing the front wheels, am now  just wondering should all four wheels be balanced when 4  new tyres are fitted or only neccessary for front wheels? The car is a 2003 Peugeot 406. Thanks in advance.

  Anyone out there able to explain to me the minefield that is coil packs on peugeots? I have a 306 (1.6, 2001) with a duff pack and need to know what to do about it. it has happened to me before, about a year ago, i replaced the coil pack with one from the scrappers and it was fine, but now it is gone again.

  Hi I have a low mileage Peugeot expert van.   The milometer first started only showing the top or bottom half of the led reading. However it has now stopped working all-together. I have taken the instrument panel out to check for any loose fitting but nothing.

  does any body know if a 306 gti6 engine will go into my little saxo vtr 2000 year. i have the full car here (the peugeot) so i have access to all the engine and box ancileries, will i need to get new shafts made up or can i run the engine on the saxo box? its a little project for the sake of passing time.

  Saw an advert in one of the Sunday mags introducing the new Peugeot 4007, the company's first 4x4. Looks very aggressive with it's big shark mouth grille. Advert says it uses more fuel in 2wd. To my eye it makes a Ssangyong Musso look cute. 19inch alloys with low profile tyres...not for off-road and probably a bad idea for some of our pot-holed roads locally.

  Hi, i need some advice. Recently my peugeot 306 HDi has had an odd issue on cold starts. It starts fine, but it runs very rough for a couple of seconds before settling on a normal idle. I'm not sure what could causing this, glow plugs, air in fuel system, battery?

  I am due to take my wifes 2001 Peugeot 307 in for it's MOT. Last year it passed no problems. It has 42,000 miles on the clock and she only uses it for school run a pootling around town. Just wanted to know if there is anything specific I should be checking for before I take it.

  Hi. HAs anybody any ideea on how to change/fix the rear speaker on a peugeot 407 saloon?You know,the long one right underneath the rear window? I just discovered it doesnt work...didnt get any warning from the computer,but the speaker just doesnt make any sound... Unless...its not a speaker,in witch case i just made myself look a moron....

  I think I've come across a motoring equivalent of the chocolate mis-shape, whereby Cadbury's etc will flog off product cheaply other than through their normal outlets and often in unmarked bags when it does not quite fit the intended specification. I rented a Peugeot 107 recently and it was painted in Citroen's Damas blue. I assume this was a computer glitch or human error on their common production line and perhaps the rental company got it cheap as a result.

  I have a problem with my Peugeot 206 1.4 GLX 'W' Reg. When I stop the car at junctons, light, ets, the revs drop to around 500 rpm and then the engine cuts out, I have to feather the throttle to keep it going. On the other hand, sometimes when I change down the revs hit 3000rpm and I need to turn off the engine.

  The central locking works perferct, from the fob or from usinf the key in the door. I have asked peugeot, and they just said bring it a long and we'll have a quick look, £70ph quick look. Cant afford to pay for this at the mo, so would really appreciate it if anybody could offer some advice. Thanks

  both key fobs for my t reg peugeot 306 HDI have gradually failed over the last few months obvioulsy due to battery failure. having now inserted new batteries (3V CR1620) in both fobs there is still no life. I have tried a different brand of battery also.

  Peugeot 306 hdi 1999 t reg. Been unused for about 1 month. Battery was flat so I recharged. couldn't get car to start, battery wasn't charging so bought a new battery but still won't start. All I get is loads of clicking noises, remote locking doesn't work, lights on dash very dim or not at all, interior light doesn't come on.

  Why is it that Peugeot have to insist on having a 'diognostic check' for a handsome price of £55, BEFORE they have started work on your car. I rang up every single one today and they all said the same dispite me saying "I know what the damn problems are with the car, all I need is a new plipper and a new connector under my seat for the airbag!"

  I\'ve got a Peugeot 306 and I\'m having problems with the front door lock. There seems to be resistance when I put the key in the lock to try and open the door. Its been getting worse over the past 6 months and now its very hard to actually get the door open without doing it from the passenger side.

  Got a slight noise from the Cam belt area at tick over but vanishes then hot. Either the Tensioner was not changed by Peugeot or the the new belt is exciting the water pump bearing. Any thoughts here, what is the typical life of a 106 water pump. Regards Peter

  I have a 1998 Peugeot 306 D-Turbo and I am having to fill the radiator expansion tank almost once a week. I have heard that this problem could be caused by a sticking thermostat or head gasket failure. I am curious as to whether the thermostat does have a fault as the normal running temperature of the engine seems to be about 70ish and should probably be at about 90.

  I have a new Peugeot 307 and have steering wheel tremor at about 70-75 mph. It feels as though the balance needs doing, so had the wheels balanced, new drive shafts, steering rack dampner adusted (made the steering stiff!)
