Peugeot 406 central locking deadlock

Hi

I need help with my 2001 pug 406. I have recently noticed that the deadlocking system has stopped working. The central locking works perferct, from the fob or from usinf the key in the door.

I have asked peugeot, and they just said bring it a long and we'll have a quick look, £70ph quick look. Cant afford to pay for this at the mo, so would really appreciate it if anybody could offer some advice.

I'm guessing you've already done this,but when using the key as opposed to the remote,have you locked the car,and then held the key for a further second,to activate the deadlock?

I don't have the remote for mine,and this is what I do.
