Overall reliability

Solid.well made, eats up the miles, great driving position.

Great car (my third X5) pulls like a train, and despite fairly fast ( but legal) driving, i am getting 30 mpg. Only complaint is that the ride is a little firm and "twitchy". I know this is due to the 20" bling wheels, but it looks great and is not that bad really. Driving position and visibility are excellent, steering is very precise and well weighted.
The auto box is excellent and even under harsh acceleration the changes are hardly noticable.
The rear seats are comfy and there is plenty of leg room.
Don't imagine it is much use off road, but i didn't buy it for that. It managed well in the snow and i managed to pass other vehicles who could not make the hill near my house, with ease.
In conclusion, i can't really fault the car, it handles like you expect a BMW to.
