New F-Sport model for Lexus IS

Lexus is bring a little of the IS-F's glamour to the more affordable models in the IS range with the introduction of the F-Sport trim. The F-Sport arrives alongside a range of improvements for all 2010 IS models.

For the F-Sport, Lexus has added 18in alloy wheels, lowered suspension for IS250 versions, a boot spoiler, sports seats with Alcantara and leather trim, and aluminium pedals. The interior is finished in all black with a black headlining and grey stitching on the seats and steering wheel. Also standard for the F-Sport models are rain-sensing wipers, HID headlights, memory settings for the electric front seats and a 13-speaker stereo system.

For 2010, the IS 250 and 220d models now come with 10-spoke 17in alloy wheels, while the IS 250 has had its average fuel economy improved to 29.1mpg, while carbon dioxide emissions fall from the previous version's 231g/km to 227g/km for the manual and drop to 209g/km from the old model's 214g/km.

A new satellite navigation system is also available that is able to give live traffic information and use it to plan the best route. All IS models can have their stereo upgraded to receive digital radio broadcasting now.

Prices for the revised IS range start at £24,350 for the IS 220d SE and the F-Sport model cost from £28,290.
