Seven-year warranties available on used Kia models

Tue, 24 Mar 2009
Motorists buying second-hand cars from Kia may soon benefit from the same warranty that is already offered to those purchasing new vehicles.

From April, some used model customers will drive away with a seven-year guarantee.

In order to qualify for this length of warranty, buyers must purchase a vehicle that is no more than 18 months old and has covered under 18,000 miles.

Kia's head of fleet and remarketing Andrew Sellars commented: "Just because you are buying second-hand, doesn't mean you have to be treated as second-class.

He added: "Why should used customers miss out on all the benefits that come with a new car?"

Motorists will now be able to buy a second-hand cee'd with a seven-year warranty for less than £10,000.

In other motoring news, Kia recently announced its staff had raised more than £100,000 for Comic Relief by doing something funny for money, including stilt-walking and quizzing.
