UK best-performing European market, says Kia

Thu, 07 Aug 2008
South Korean automobile manufacturer Kia has produced statistics which show that the UK is its best-performing market in Europe.

Figures from the automaker show that there has been some 20,550 new models delivered in Britain this year.

This is approximately 3,000 more vehicles delivered than in Germany - the second-largest Kia market on the continent.

In July, the company sold some 2,316 new models to British drivers, who may have been acting on car buying advice from satisfied customers.

Paul Philpott, UK managing director of Kia Motors, has stated that there is more to come from the firm.

"The Kia brand is not resting on its laurels and is committed to giving people fun and quality cars that stand out in today's difficult economic climate," said the official.

Kia is South Korea's second-largest automobile manufacturer and is a subsidiary of Hyundai Kia Automotive Group.
