Lowest BIK Tax £14.58 a Month

Thu, 16 May 2002
Company car drivers looking for the lowest possible tax liability will find the £14.58 monthly tax bill of the new Perodua Kelisa EX hard to beat.

The Kelisa falls in to the lowest emissions category with a CO2 figure of 121g/km. The taxable benefit is 15 per cent of the £5,300 list price, which works out at £795.00, and for a driver paying the basic rate 22% tax this comes to £174.90 a year or just £14.58 per month.

In addition to offering big tax savings for company car users, the Kelisa offers an unusually high specification for the price. Standard equipment on the entry level EX model includes power-assisted steering, driver and passenger airbags, side impact protection, seat belt pretensioners and a rear wash/wipe facility. GX models further benefit from powered windows, central locking, cup and coin holders, and metallic paintwork.

Furthermore, the Kelisa EX remains the lowest priced new car to own and run over 3 years/60,000 miles according to independent research analysts CAP. Sadly it just misses the new £70 VED break of cars emitting less than 120g/km and remains taxed at £100 a year.
