Berlingo Finally Gets HDI, From £9,760

Wed, 20 Feb 2002
Hot on the heels of the FIAT Doblo JTD 100bhp Citroen has given us the news we've been waiting for. The Berlingo Multispace is finally to be imported in right-hand drive with PSA's 2.0 HDI engine.

With 90bhp, it has 64% more torque than the old XUD 1.9 and 27% more power. Top speed is 98mph, and 60mph comes up in around 12.7 seconds. Combined fuel consumption is 47.9mpg and CO2 emissions 155g/km, putting it in the £130pa VED bracket.

Prices start at £10,260, but Citroen is offering a £500 cashback until the end of March pulling the price back to £9,760, which is only a few hundred more than the less well equipped Doblo JTD.
