SEAT Rival for Street Ka

Wed, 22 Aug 2001
SEAT's surprise for the Frankfurt Motor Show is an Arosa sized roadster concept car enticingly dubbed the SEAT Tango.

It's only 3,685mm long (12 ft 1 inch) long, has no hood, and adopts an Elise style minimalist approach inside with exposed frame tubes based on the structure of the SEAT World Rally Car.

Power is from the familiar 180bhp 1.8 litre 20v turbo engine fed through a six-speed gearbox. Top speed is claimed to be 146mph with a 0-60 of less than 7 seconds which will be quicker than the Ford Street Ka.
