Citroen Cuts Top Xsara Prices

Sat, 21 Jul 2001
Citroen has cut the price of its 167bhp Xsara VTS to less than £14,000, including a year's free insurance for 25 to 80 year olds, undercutting the SEAT Leon 20VT, Skoda Octavia RS and Renault ClioSport 172 and making this car one of the hot hatch performance bargains. At the same time it is introducing Emergency Brake Assist to the Xsara range and offering cashbacks of betweem £700 and £2,400. This brings the price of the 167bhp VTS to below £14,000 and the price of the 1.4iLX with ABS and EBA to less than £9,000.
