Tax Efficient Peugeot 607

Peugeot has announced two new versions of its flagship 607 model designed to appleal to company car drivers worried about the new benefit in kind tax regime from April 2002. CO2 emissions for the 2.0 HDi are well below the 165g per km threshold meaning that the car will be taxed on the basis of 15% of the car's list price plus the 3% diesel supplement. The new models are a 607 2.0 litre petrol at £18,195 on the road and a 2.0 litre 110bhp HDi at £19,395 on the road. Specification is the same as existing S models and includes ABS with EBD and emergency brake assist, alloy wheels and climate control, but petrol and diesel SE versions are also available at £20,395 and £21,595.

Other Peugeot 607n prices have been realigned with cuts of £700 to £1,700. The 607 2.2HDi SE now lists at £22,895 on the road and the top model 607 V6 SE is £29,795.
