Winter tyres having an adverse effect on handlinh

"I have taken your and others advice about fitting winter tyres (Federal Himalaya SUV 225 55 18). I have found that they have affected the handling of my truck. It now tends to follow the contours of the road and does not inspire confidence at speeds. It gets slightly better with the 4x4 engaged but still does not feel right. The tyres are inflated to the correct pressures on new alloys. Can you think of any reason why this should be so? "
Might be because temperatures are not yet low enough. But good to check out tests of these tyres at My little FIAT is actually better in its Michelin Alpin A4 winters than is was on its Michelin Energy Savers.
