i have a 07 mini cooper d with oil pressure issues. She heard a noise in the engine, felt the pedal was a bit funny, ( loosing power i'd say) oil light came on, drove about another mile and finished her journey. Now start the car when its cold it runs fine no lights on, until it heats up a bit and thins the oil of course, lights on and starts kocking and rattling. Is it worth putting a new oil pump in and seeing if it will sort it out long enough to sell it?? anyone any ideas?
