Hi chaps,

I recently purchased a 2008 Focus 1.8 Zetec with 28,000 miles on the clock. After getting the car home I noticed the car had a very erratic idle and slow throttle response.

I took the car back to the Ford dealer who promptly "recalibrated" the 1.8 Zetec engine ("they are known to fall out of calibration," I was told). The erratic idling has gone but the throttle still seems to jump slightly when you lift off, and it just doesn't seem as responsive as I'd expect.

Has anyone else experienced this, and could you offer any potential solutions?
