Ford Transit - remote battery going flat, help replacing battery - alfatrike

i have a 3 button remote for my '04 transit like ebay Item number: 170629993557 but my images on the buttons are quite worn

i have to get closer and closer to the van to use the remote central locking.

i guess i need a new battery.

does anyone know what battery i need and are there any specific fitting instructions? do i have to be able to do it in less than 0.0005 of a second not to loose the code.

OR should i just buy the new one? i guess it will have a new battery with it and it looks better than the one i have.

A CR2032 battery, IIRC.
