My headlights just failed on a short trip of around half a mile or so. Sidelights still worked all round, foglights too, but headlights--nothing. Got back home and checked the fuse box but it was nothing like the one shown in Haynes, so pulling it out was a waste of effort. Lo and behold, when I tried the lights after putting the fuse box back into its fastenings the headlights worked, so its clearly not a fuse, but Ive still absolutely no idea what it might be. Are the lights controlled by a relay; so could that be developing a fault, and if so, where do I find it? Is it possible that by fiddling with the fuse box Ive re-established a connection that was dislodged? Any other suggestions would be most welcome; dont want to be left without headlights, especially on these cold, dark winter evenings. Cheers.
