Evening folks,

Not long past test (29, yes I left it late) and got my first car today. After numerous searching for motoring forums I've came across this handy little site that looks very active.

Anyway, at the moment I'm covered under the dealerships Aviva 7 day policy so I've got just over 6 days to get my own policy set up.

I've generally only used www.gocompare.com for quotes and most of them are quite disappointing in terms of what they try and get from me on monthly basis where as when I get a yearly deal its not too bad.

Any advice on what I can do or which company to speak to, to try and get the lowest but safest deal available?

Yes I have deep pockets but you kinda have to these days!

Interesting to say the least, I don't doubt their credibility but you can understand why I am surprised because obviously I've been so used to getting priced from multi national companies etc.

I might give them a call see what they can offer. Cheers

Last conversation I had with them was over property insurance - it ran something like

Them "If you want to call me back, ask for Mrs Bishop"

Me "So I am speaking to the boss then?"

Them "Yes you are!"

Was going to ask for quote via their website but I am little reluctant to until I know if their quote will leave a foot print on my credit report, their closed until Monday
