Vauchall Astra Hatchback 2003 - Astra 2003 Towbar fitting - karljohns80

Hi everyone, i have bought a 2nd hand towbar for my astra, it came off the same year/shape/model so i know its the right one, i have also checked the part number with the manufacturer (towequip) but i'm having trouble with fitting. do i need to remove the back bumper to bolt to the chassis? also there is a cross section that appears to fit into the rear cross member of the chassis, but seems impossible to get it in there, any ideas???

Type towequipe into google. Fitting instructions appear as an option. Do you know the towbar manufacturer? Entering Witter and Vauxhall gives a lot of instruction pdfs.
