Skoda Octavia II - Delivery - Shef

I ordered an Octavia 2 Estate in Feb and have now been told that delivery won't be until June. Nothing fancy standard Elegance. Anybody have any idea why the hold up?

Dealer doesn't know.

Unfortunately 4 months seems to be quite normal at the moment for Skodas: they're just too popular, and I suppose there's a limit to the amount of RHD versions the factory can produce. I think they're all made in the Czech Republic, and not dual-sourced as VW do in many cases.

The only way of getting one sooner is not to mind about colour and getting the dealer to find one that's in the UK.

If they don't know, it's the dealer's job to find out for you.

Sorry - none of that is much help to you. I can confirm that it'll be worth waiting for.

It's not a 1.4TSI by any chance? Demand for that particular engine (used in various VW Group models) seems to have outstripped supply since not long after it was introduced.
