Standard problem on 405s too - is there a long term cure?

The sensor is located at the top of the flywheel housing just below the cylinder head, the problem is likely to be with the two pin plug that connects it to the loom making intermittent contact. Take it out and scrape the pins, apply a little grease and refit.

Is the one with 10mm bolt because when I removed it the revcounter still works when I tried that sensor.

I attached a picture and marked with cyrcle the sensor. Is this that pick up the signal?
