02 1.8 Starting problem TDCi/shutdown noise ... - arnold2
Got an occasional starting problem on my '02 TDCi - fine once warmed up, but sometimes takes a couple of goes in the cold. Also, I have also a bit of a 'rumble' sometimes on engine switch off, and I'm wondering if these both could be the starter motor .... ? Any ideas welcome!

One thing though - the glow-plug lights stay on for a (short) period of time no matter what the temperature - makes me wonder if the ECU is reading the temp properly?
