I'm sure the answer is already here somewhere, but I have been unable to find it, so apologies in advance.
I was under the impression that dual mass flywheels were fitted to diesels and possibly V6 models but have read that they are fitted to all petrol engine Mondeos up to 2007 as well. Could someone confirm this please? I would also be interested to know if any petrol Focus models are fitted with this type of flywheel.
Many thanks.

I was under the impression that DMFs were fitted to all manual diesels to isolate engine vibration from the gearbox/drivetrain.

DMF have been used by many manufacturers(including Ford) on petrol models but I don't think they were ever used on petrol Focus and not all current manual diesels use them-for example, current Ford Fiesta diesels do not use them.
