Vauxhall Combo van (2002 - ) - 2004 1.3 no codes

2004 1.3 no codes - hornetuk
when driving my Combo from cold every thing is OK until the engine temp reaches normal operating temp and then the service light comes on, twice I have had it plugged into a diagnostic reader and both times it has said there are no codes to read, and on the snapshot side there are no snapshots to read, how do I get the EOBD to read and report the codes. Hornie
