| Does anyone know the shelf life of AF?
I have a partly-used can of unknown age (although probably about 2 or 3 years old)

Do the anti-corrosion properties decline with age?

Based on what I've read here before from those who know about these things, your anti-freeze will be fine providing it is not in an open container, and it hasn't been premixed with water.

[To reduce the amount of oxygen with which any servicing fluid can react, I squeeze the sides of a part-used plastic "tub" to bring the contents nearer to the top before replacing the cap - a trick I first laerned with the kids' Coca Cola bottles ;-) - but after a messy experience with a gallon of bake fluid I've also learned not to overdo this and crease the plastic.]

                    | Five years plus. As LZ says - it must be in a sealed container and not premixed nor contaminated. It's the anti-corrosion properties that go - same as when it's in use. |
