02 2.0 Toggle switch for electric window - puddlejumper
The toggle switch on the arm rest for the drivers window has come loose and it appears that a small clip on bracket has broken . I plan to take one off from the rear door but I am unable to remove it. It has a stamp on it made in Japan so I presume the same type is fitted to other cars , I have tried to open the unit but it looks fragile it must come apart. I am open to suggestions , the local breakers yard may have the whole arm rest unit what should that cost ?

Just managed to fix the toggle , replaced drivers window switch with one from rear window . separating the rear unit was a bit fiddly but with 2 small screwdrivers it came apart and wes able (carefully) to prize off the toggle . It was quite easy to snap it into the armrest unit and hey presto it worked . the toggle in the rear window looks okay but does not work from the rear but is ok from the front . Is that ok for the MOT.??
