I was driving along when I lost power and glow plug light started to flash any ideas please

GPL is a fuelling malfunction indicator. Get the fault-codes read by your garage and that will give us some clues.

When this happened to me it was a failed turbo. Hope your's isn't that serious!

When this happened to me at 70k miles an injector needed reprogramming, 20 mins on the diagnostics at the dealer, done as goodwill despite being out of warranty though would have been about £45, done 55k since with no reoccurrance.
