I recently bought a Ford ka collection . Unfortunatly the clutch seems to "slip" slightly. is it possible to adjust this type of clutch .. or as it to be replaced

The clutch actuation is hydraulic and non-adjustable. How many miles has the Ka done? It might be a problem with the hydraulics but I'd put my money on the clutch, sorry.

Anyone any ideas how much a new clutch for a KA would be?
The wife's KA3 has done 90K and is looking like it's on the way out.

my Escort 1300 clutch was 140 at a Co-op garage a couple of years ago.
But why at 40K , should last far longer than that- at least 100K

It should, but if it was owned by someone like the "mature" lady I watched in the local Waitrose car park the other day, 40k is good going.
I've never seen smoke coming off clutch plates when reversing out of a space before.... I reckon she had 4,000 RPM on easily, and the car wasn't even moving at walking pace. Poor thing.
Cheers
