Great stuff.
If that's the starter motor going into the bottom of the block at about 1minute 7 seconds with 4 long bolts and its own chain drive to the crank, I wouldn't like to have to change that at the side of the road.
In what vehicles do we find this particular engine?

Starter motor is on the side of engine and engages with teeth on rim of flywheel
I think the bit you are referring to is probably the oil pump

Yup it's an oil pump, as for the engine some on the reponse saying Hyundai 2 litre & other saying Nisaan 2 litre.
It's not a Duetz & it's fairly modern as it's DIS & Fuel injected, but not turbo'd.
