Citroen C15 Van dash lights

Citroen C15 Van dash lights - zola
I have just got hold of a second hand c15 (x 2000). Can anyone tell me if the heating/vent/fan controls should be lit up when the head lights are on?

We had a much older C15 van (1989 F reg) and the heater controls didn't light up.
