was driving works van yesterday and knocked bumped an aa breakdown veichle wing miror glass out phoned up the works insurance and explained when i renew my own car insurance do i have to tell my insurance that i had a knock in the works veichle or not

you are supposed to tell them but they might already know and query you about it at renewal. i had this happen a few years back had two vehicles damaged in a year both parked at the time came renewal for insurance and they informed me i had two accidents in the last year. no claim was made on my insurance and as far as i was concerned i did not have an accident ( i wasn't even there, i was out of the country on one of the occassions.) but up went the premium for which they lost my business.
